Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Layyah is being highlighted in the Indian media amid growing tensions over the disputed Line of Actual Control between China and India. In the eyes of retired senior military officials and some analysts, the visit has sent a strong message to China.

Pictures shown on TV channels showed the prime minister briefing military personnel on security measures at the border. He was accompanied by Army Chief General Naruna and CDS Bipin Rawat.
Addressing the troops there, he said that the enemies of India have seen your 'fire' and also your 'fury' (anger). Without naming China, he said the era of expansionism was over. Read more Indian News here https://thehumanping.com/

It may be recalled that there have been three rounds of high-level military talks between the two countries to reduce border tensions, which began in May, but these talks have not yielded any results. Meanwhile, a large number of heavy weapons, including troops and tanks, have reportedly been delivered to the area by both countries.

According to Indian media reports, India has deployed ten brigades or 45,000 troops in Ladakh.
